I am such a SLACKER!!

Hi everyone!!

Sorry for the lack of posts. I am such a SLACKER!! I have been so busy showing Archie the ropes I haven't had much energy left to post. I promise I will get back on it soon. The little guy gives me plenty of material.

I also have to wait till my mommy comes home to do big posts. I make her proofread stuff first and she's been so busy at work. I hate work. I wish Mommy would be a stay at home Mommy!!

Here's a picture to hold you over. I am trying to teach Archie to catch a frisbee. I have learned that weiner dogs STINK at catching frisbees.

Hey, that's MY spot!!

Since it was sooooo cold outside, Daddy started a fire the other night. I was soooo excited--I love laying in front of the fire.

Apparently my little brother has not figured out that I outrank him in this family. He has stolen my spot in front of the fireplace!!

But he looks so peaceful, I just don't have the heart to make him move.

Another Eddie Lesson

So, my next lesson for Archie was the sad, sweet face. Eddie taught me this one too. You have to give your Mommy & Daddy (M&D) your very best sad eyes and then you get lots of love and treats!! It is so cool!

When M&D are at work, I have been working with Archie on his facial expressions. First, I told him he has to have a pouty mouth. Make it like a big frown and stick that bottom lip out . . .

Then, I told him to make his eyes as sad as they can get. It helps to look at M&D sideways or put his chin down and look up (Princess Diana style!)

Put them together and pretend to be starving or really really sad.

After all my hard work and detailed lesson plans, this is the best he can do.

Puppy Class

Okay, so last night Mommy took Archie to puppy class. She said it was to teach him to be a good boy. Apparently I was SUCH a good puppy that Mommy can't figure out how to train the crazy little dachshund. HA! I ROCK!

But I realized something while they were gone. I missed the little rugrat. Even though he rips up my toys and doesn't understand how to play PROPERLY, it's kinda lonely without him. So I sat at the front door and watched for them out the front window. I was SO SAD. When is my little brother coming home??

Finally, I saw Mommy's car and heard the garage door!! WOOHOOOO!!! I was so excited! Archie came in and we played and played.

Then he peed in my bed.

That's My Toy!

Dear Mommy & Daddy,

I have been very patient with Archie. I let him have my food,

my bed

and I even let him play with my toys.

But this, this is too much. I have NEVER torn up one of my beloved toys. I love them and take care of them like my babies. And this is what he has done to them.

I don't know how much more I can take.

So.Freaking.Gross.

I am so disgusted by my little brother right now.

Hello World!!

Hello World!! Ginny Tritt here!! I am so excited for my very first blog posting!

I am a 3 year old brindle boxer (my mommy says I am beautiful, but I think she's just saying that 'cause she has to) living in Texas. I love toys, Pupperonis and reading my cousin Odie's blog. And Pupperonis. Did I mention that? I REALLY love Pupperonis. I would do ANYTHING for a Pupperoni. Mommy, are you getting this??

Anyway, I am just teaching my new little brother the ropes here at home. You see, I had a little big brother--his name was Eddie. He was a yorkie and was almost 15 years old!! Here he is teaching me the ropes when I was a little girl.

Eddie was my best buddy and taught me everything I know!

Then, earlier this year, Eddie started getting really sick. About a month ago, Mommy said he went to the Rainbow Bridge. I don't really know where that is, but it made Mommy & Daddy really sad. I am sad too--I miss him very much. I have been looking for him all over the house and I just can't find him. Mommy said he's with the angels. I hope they are taking good care of him, 'cause I miss him.

Mommy said that we had a big empty space in our home and went in search of a furry body to fill it with! She said it would "heal our hearts" but I don't really know what that means.

Mommy found Archie at a rescue here in Texas. The poor little guy looks like he's been eaten by moths, but the vet said it's no big deal and gave Mommy medicine for him. Poor guy--he gets baths ALL THE TIME!!

He sure is cute though. We have lots of fun playing, but it's tough. He just doesn't get the rules--I try to explain them to him and he just ignores me. I told him--I take one side of the rope, you take the other and we have a tug o' war! He just doesn't get it. He's getting better, but I have lots to teach this little guy. He's gonna wear me out!

Archie is not Eddie and I still miss that guy a lot. I guess it's my turn to be the big dog and pass on all of Eddie's lessons. Archie, your next lesson is the "staredown." Eddie taught me this one to get more treats from Mommy and Daddy. Archie? Archie!!! Come back here! Oh that kid makes me crazy!
